Eagles at Seward Park

Bald Eagle Perched at Seward Park

Arborist Michael Oxman spotted this bald eagle on Saturday at Seattle's Seward Park while working with a group removing invasive blackberry. Seward Park is in SE Seattle and is a peninsula which jutts into Lake Washington and is a huge urban oasis with many huge, tall trees.

Eagles, of course need tall trees to perch upon and survey the area for prey like salmon.

So, two good deeds in one day!

Thanks Michael!
