Preserving the Past - Golden Wheels Vintage Autos at the Shoreline Historical Museum

The Shoreline Historical Museum's annual vintage racecar exhibit happens on a Sunday in June at the Museum. It is a display sponsored by the Golden Wheels Vintage Auto Racing Fraternity in conjunction with other vintage racing clubs in Washington, Oregon, and California. Depending on the location of various events around the West, racecar owners have the option of performing all out racing, demonstration racing, or, as in the case of the Shoreline location, exhibiting. Many of the cars have raced at the old Aurora Speedway near the Playland Amusement Park of the 1930's through ‘50’s.

Also shown here are vintage street cars and some years a hydroplane which add a lot to the excitement of the Shoreline Museum event.
