Chard by Ellen Witebsky
She is having a show of her splendid images at the Shoreline City Hall Gallery and a reception/open house a week from today at City Hall. It is highly worth your while to stop by for a visit.

Her imagery is a wonderfully detailed and whimsical view of the natural world, utilizing digital imaging and sharp observation of natural forms. She won several awards last year at the  Shoreline/Lake Forest Park Arts Fest.

You can also see more of her imagery at her website -

What:    Exhibition Open House and Artists’ Reception
When:   May 17 (Tuesday), 5:30 – 7:00 pm
Where:  Shoreline City Hall
              N 175th St & Midvale Ave N

Ellen comments about her work,
"Each piece is named, of course, for the real object that forms the basis of the image, not for what I create from it.  As to what they have become, I prefer the viewers to decide that for themselves.  And, in case it’s not obvious, this series really is – for me – as much play as it is work.  My ultimate goal with each piece is to create an image that makes me smile every time I look at it.  And, my ultimate reward is to see others smile when they see it as well."

The public is invited to view the gallery at Shoreline City Hall on the Third Floor.
