She is having a show of her splendid images at the Shoreline City Hall Gallery and a reception/open house a week from today at City Hall. It is highly worth your while to stop by for a visit.

Her imagery is a wonderfully detailed and whimsical view of the natural world, utilizing digital imaging and sharp observation of natural forms. She won several awards last year at the  Shoreline/Lake Forest Park Arts Fest.

You can also see more of her imagery at her website -

Ellen comments about her work,
"Each piece is named, of course, for the real object that forms the basis of the image, not for what I create from it.  As to what they have become, I prefer the viewers to decide that for themselves.  And, in case it’s not obvious, this series really is – for me – as much play as it is work.  My ultimate goal with each piece is to create an image that makes me smile every time I look at it.  And, my ultimate reward is to see others smile when they see it as well."
