SouthEast Shoreline Subarea Planning Process

SouthEast Shoreline Subarea Planning Process

Presentation and Public Hearing from CAC (Citizens Advisory Committee) to the Shoreline Planning Commission

When: Thursday, Feb. 4th, 7pm
Where: Shoreline City Hall, Council Chambers

• What is the SouthEast Subarea? For planning purposes the City has hosted a longterm planning process with a Citizens Advisory Committee to craft rezoning and density goals for the SouthEast section of Shoreline (includes portions of Briarcrest and Ridgecrest Neighborhoods)

• Why should we care? Because if you drive through, live, walk or go to school or church in this section of town, you might want to help shape it's future. This area is home to several parks and important watershed/habitat features, next to Shorecrest HS, and home to Shoreline Christian School and contains many businesses and traffic and pedestrian routes. It is bordered by NE 145th (State Rt), near I-5 and future possible Light Rail Station.

The hearing before the Planning Commission is open to anyone who wishes to comment. The document written by the Committee and a "Dissent" Report are available on the City Website.
This is the first Subarea Plan in many years to be carried out by the City.

Your input is extremely important. There will be a City Councilmeeting opportunity as well in the near future to give input. If you cannot attend, you may also send an email comment to the Planning Commissioners and/or City Council. http://www.cityofshoreline.com/index.aspx?page=70

It's OUR City! See you there!
