Her imagery is a wonderfully detailed and whimsical view of the natural world, utilizing digital imaging and sharp observation of natural forms. She won several awards last year at the Shoreline/Lake Forest Park Arts Fest.

Ellen comments about her work,
"Each piece is named, of course, for the real object that forms the basis of the image, not for what I create from it. As to what they have become, I prefer the viewers to decide that for themselves. And, in case it’s not obvious, this series really is – for me – as much play as it is work. My ultimate goal with each piece is to create an image that makes me smile every time I look at it. And, my ultimate reward is to see others smile when they see it as well."
