This year it's the 20th Anniversary of Environmental Lobby Day. It's a great way to make a difference
on issues you care about AND it's just pretty darned fun!
Join your fellow citizen lobbyists in Olympia and visit your legislators. They really DO want to hear from you. Citizens like you can mean the difference between passing enviornmental legislation ....or not!
FEBRUARY 15, 2011
8:30 AM - 6 PM • OLYMPIA
Environmental Lobby Day is sponsored by 25 environmental organizations, who have teamed up to promote good legislation that can really make a difference in protecting our precious Northwest ecosystems and reverse damage that has been done. The Environmental Priorities Coalition is one of the main sponsors along with People for Puget Sound and many others.
There is so much at stake especially for creating Green Jobs and Clean Tech.
The Lobby Day Volunteers have some great programs lined up to give you all the information you need to be an effective citizen lobbyist.!
It's helpful if you can "register" beforehand to expedite the process of signing up all the participants to make the most effective impact. You can also sign up for lunch and even bus rides to Olympia from your community.
Come to Olympia with the state’s leading conservation groups and hundreds of citizen lobbyists to push for the passage of the Environmental Priorities Coalition’s legislative package.
Test your powers of persuasion as you meet face-to-face with all three of your state legislators. Receive detailed briefings on each priority and training on how to lobby from top environmental lobbyists. We’ll fuel your activism with a breakfast and lunch and all the coffee you can drink!
And don’t forget the wrap-up party in the evening with a special celebration of the 20th Anniversary of People For Puget Sound.
